What Galway property means for the job
Stone-built cottages and older city homes that battle Atlantic damp, alongside newer estates in Knocknacarra and Doughiska.
That mix is the reason two quotes for the same room in Galway can differ honestly. Age, construction and access decide how much preparation sits under the finish, and none of it is visible in a photograph. It is established at survey and written into the scope before a price is agreed.

“Had my kitchen and bathroom tiled by WEPRO Renovations in Tralee and it has made the world of difference!”
Customer message“Just had my kitchen splashback and floor tiling done by WEPRO Renovations in Tralee. Quick, tidy, and fairly priced. The lads were on time, and the finish is perfect. Highly recommend.”
“WEPRO Renovations did our kitchen in Cork, and I have to say they were brilliant. No hidden costs, no messing about with time; the lads turned up every morning and just got on with it. The tiling is spot on, and they even fixed a wonky cabinet the previous crowd left. Delighted with the result. Five stars.”
“WEPRO did my kitchen floor and splashback in Limerick. Super quick and tidy. Love the finish, it looks class. I would use them again for sure. Five stars. 😊”

From €2,999. The advertised ‘from’ price is the minimum for a small, straightforward scope. It is not a typical price for a full renovation. The final written quote depends on measurements, preparation, materials, access and the agreed specification.
Stone-built cottages and older city homes that battle Atlantic damp, alongside newer estates in Knocknacarra and Doughiska. Property age and construction decide preparation more than anything else in the quote, which is why the survey happens before a price rather than after it.

Atlantic exposure and solid stone walls mean a room can be producing more moisture than it can clear. That is a ventilation and build-up question — extraction sized to the room, insulated board where appropriate, and a waterproofing system that does not rely on the plaster holding up. Skipping it produces mould behind new finishes within a year, which is why a Galway quote that is materially cheaper is usually cheaper here.
Yes. Knocknacarra, Doughiska and the city apartment stock bring management-company rules on waterproofing and floor build-up, restricted working hours, lift access for materials and limited scope for changing drainage. All four belong in the quote rather than in a conversation on day one.
Worth specifying for. Salt air pits chrome and screen hardware faster than inland, so coastal-rated brassware and working extraction pay for themselves — replacing hardware later means disturbing sealed work.
